Elaine is a patient and talented educator whose years of teaching experience are immediately apparent. The space itself is situated in an inspiring country setting and Elaine's welcoming presence makes even the most shy of children feel at ease and confident in expressing their creativity.  The level of skill her students exhibited within a two hour lesson was remarkable and they left with a sense of pride and accomplishment. My daughter’s experience with Elaine made her feel like a true artist.

Helen

I initially felt quite nervous and unsure, but I soon felt uplifted and delighted in what I was able to achieve. Elaine was totally calming, patient and accommodating with a fantastic workshop area to experiment in. It really was first class and I have made the most beautiful pottery way beyond my expectations. I can’t wait for another workshop. Elaine Hewitt Ceramics comes highly recommended and I simply had the best time, it was like therapy!

Elaine made mine and my daughter's first experience of pottery a truly lovely one.  The studio was bright and welcoming with lovely scenic views of surrounding countryside.  We both had a fantastic afternoon making three beautiful items, using different clays and different techniques.  Elaine arranged everything so very nicely, teaching us at just the right pace with great patience and enthusiasm. Departing for home my daughter was asking (even before the car door was shut), "Can we come again?".
